Great day at church for our "My Church and Awana Sunday"! Thanks be to God first, and to all who helped make this happen! The kids did so well reciting, singing and acting in the skit! I have received many kind words and affirmations about our club today. A family with 2 children in Sparks came forward and joined our church today, baptisms to follow soon. A young man in his late teens accepted Christ after the services today. A mother of a T&Ter and Sparky joined our church today and her 5th grade daughter reaffirmed her salvation, 'nailing down' the decision that she had made a few years ago. And tonight after the PM service, a young man and his wife came forward for church membership. The young man had accepted Christ the previous Monday during visitations and was at our Awana service this morning but wanted to wait until tonight to come before the church so that his dad and son could be there. I think we planted many seeds today and let's pray that God will bring the future Awana leaders "off of the bench and into the game". Let's also remember the families we can reach through Awana. What a great day - what a Great God...Amen!
